The Linn County Conservation Board has unveiled an updated strategic plan, a framework to further conserve natural resources while promoting the health and welfare of the people and ecosystems of Linn County.
“The Board and strategic plan committee received feedback, insights and suggestions from over 1,000 residents through stakeholder interviews, focus groups and a public survey,” said Dennis Goemaat, Linn County Conservation Board Executive Director. “The board will be able to further connect with the community as they move forward on these important initiatives.
The strategic plan details six goals and strategies:
The Linn County Conservation Board manages over 8300 acres within 29 parks, preserves, natural areas, and trails in Linn County. A focus on these goals and strategies will allow the Board to further its mission in preserving and protecting the county’s resources while providing additional access and opportunities in these areas.
