Quass Road Project Update

The project was let on May 28th, 2019 and the project was awarded to L.L. Pelling of North Liberty, Iowa for a cost of $135,364.20. As per the contract, the completion date for the project is November 1, 2019. This means the contractor must complete the project by that date. Once started, the project will take approximately 2-4 weeks for completion. An exact start date has not been determined yet.

Quass Road has been paved and rock shoulders have been placed. The contractor is painting the pavement markings today and the road should be open to all traffic by this evening.

Quass Road is closed today for asphalt paving between the City of Robins and County Home Road. The road will be closed daily for the next 2-3 weeks.

Work will start on Quass Road this week. County crews will be doing prep work this week and will finish by Friday (19th). The contractor will start their prep work on Thursday (25th) and plan to start paving on Monday (29th). The project is expected to last 1.5- 2 weeks.
