Notice to Property Owners:
Certified Property Deeds Available at Linn County Recorder’s Office

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA — The Linn County Recorder’s Office has recently learned of a mailing to Linn County property owners from National Deed Service, Inc. that recommends property owners acquire a certified copy of the deed to their property. The letter states that National Deed Service, Inc. will help the property owner acquire the property deed for a fee of $69.50.

The Linn County Recorder’s Office wants the public to know that property owners do not need to have a certified copy of their deed on hand. The Recorder’s Office has property deeds on file, and property owners are always welcome to obtain a certified copy from the Recorder’s Office for a fee of $6.00.
