Present: Chairperson Oleson, Vice Chairperson Harris (via telephone) and Supervisors Barron. Absent: Supervisor Langston and Rogers (other county business). Board members voting “Aye” unless otherwise noted. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Chairperson Oleson. Motion by Barron, seconded by Harris to approve Consent Agenda as follows:

Motion by Barron, seconded by Harris to approve upon Second Consideration of an ordinance amending Ordinance 2-1-2012, as codified in Chapter 45 of the Linn County Code of Ordinances, that repeals and replaces the title of Chapter 45, and adds subsection (c) to Section 45.2.
Treasurer Gonzalez met with the Board to discuss Iowa Tax and Tags program e-check subsidy fees due to Polk County. She stated that each e-check is 50 cents.
Motion by Barron, seconded by Harris to authorize Chairperson to sign contract for removal of utility poles in the Jean Oxley Linn County Public Service Center parking lot with Alliant in an amount not to exceed $1,500.
Motion by Barron, seconded by Harris to authorize Chairperson to sign contract for removal of utility poles in the Jean Oxley Linn County Public Service Center parking lot with Century Link in the amount of $5,500.00.
Motion by Barron, seconded by Harris to approve claims as follows: #70541046-#70541111 in the amt. of $45,582.82 and ACH in the amt. of $860.90.
PUBLIC COMMENT:
Lynette Richards,926 5th St. SE, read and submitted a written proposal for soccer fields and walking path in the Oakhill-Jackson neighborhood (the former site of the Linn County Options program).
Supervisor Barron reported that she had a conversation with the Oakhill-Jackson neighborhood director and put him in contact with Steve Estenson, Linn County’s Risk Manager regarding paperwork.
