The Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals (DIA) unveiled its ‘Informed Dining’ web site that allows Iowans to see inspection reports from restaurants and grocery stores across the state.

The restaurant inspections web site can be accessed through DIA’s home page at www.dia.iowa.gov/food and then by clicking on one of the buttons down the left-hand side. ‘Informed Dining’ contains reports on nearly all of the state’s food establishments, including restaurants, grocery stores, and convenience stores. Inspections conducted at Iowa-licensed hotels and motels, too, are available through the web site. Once users have accessed the ‘Informed Dining’ web site, they can see copies of the reports from inspections conducted by DIA or one of its contracting health departments.

See the associated files for the complete press release.
