The Client Financial Services Program provides a Protective Payee for people who are intellectually disabled, developmentally disabled, or chronically mentally ill. Some people who have been determined by Social Security to need assistance in managing their benefit checks are required to have a payee. The payee sees that rent, utilities, and other bills are paid. The payee also budgets the client’s personal spending money and provides that to the client on a regular basis. In addition, this program provides training in money management skills, such as budgeting and check writing. Contact Client Financial Services at 319-892-5680.
