What makes a turtle different from a duck? Explore the group of animals called vertebrates, comparing birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians and fish. Learn about the categories of creatures using live animals and many hands-on examples. The fun is located in the pavilion near the duck pen. Cosponsored by Cedar Rapids Park and Recreation Department, Iowa DNR and Linn County Conservation. Bring a sack lunch not needing refrigeration and a bottle of water. Dress to wade in the stream.
