Latest Update:

September 27, 2016 12:57 PM

The contractor plans to start applying the dust-free emulsion tomorrow in the Twin Knolls subdivision south of Blairs Ferry Road. At this time I do not know which road they will start on. They plan to start around 9:00 to allow residents to leave for work in the morning.

It will take them approximately 3 days to complete all the work. So if they don't get to your road tomorrow please know they are working in the area.

The contractor will apply the emulsion on half the road at a time in order to accommodate traffic. However, this will still temporarily block residents in/out of their driveways. The emulsions takes about an hour to dry. Please follow instructions from the flaggers and crew members on site. If you drive on wet emulsion it will track into your driveway and may spray on your vehicle. Once dry the final product will not track or spray.

The purpose of the emulsion is to eliminate the dust associated with the new seal coat. As always, the contractor's schedule is dependent on their progress today (they are working in another area of the county). Hopefully this update provides a good explanation of what to expect.

Please contact me if you have questions. Thanks for your cooperation.
