(In)Power seeks to promote girls’ resiliency and encourage the development of strength, courage, confidence, honesty, and communication skills for girls.
(In)Power works to enhance girls’ abilities so they are able to take full advantage of their talents, academic interests, career pursuits, and potential for healthy relationships. (In)Power is a female youth specific program for moderate to high risk girls in Linn County. Referrals to the group are made by Juvenile Court.
(In)Power facilitators work to focus on meeting the needs of girls, and holding an underlying respect for and belief in the rights to equality, dignity, and opportunity for all, regardless of race, creed, gender, or age.
