February 6, 2018: Lisbon School District Special Election

General Information

A special election will be held for the Lisbon Community School District on Tuesday, February 6, 2018. Voters will have the chance to vote on three public measures.

Items of Interest:
  • Pre-Registration ends Friday, January 26, 2018 at 5:00 p.m.
  • NEW: The last day ballots can be sent by mail is Friday, January 26, 2018.
  • In-person absentee voting will begin on Wednesday, January 17th and run through Monday, February 5th until 5:00 p.m. 
  • Poll locations will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 6, 2018.
  • Voting will take place on election day at the Lisbon City Hall located at 115 N Washington St in Lisbon.

Voters will need to vote at the Lisbon City Hall located at 115 N Washington St in Lisbon.

Poll locations will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 6, 2018.

Satellite Information

A satellite station may be requested by filing a petition with the Election Services Department. The petition must contain signatures of at least 100 eligible electors living in the jurisdiction. The petition must be filed with the county auditor conducting the election by the filing deadlines listed in ┬ž53.11, which varies by election type.

The deadline to submit petitions for satellite station is Friday, January 5th by 5:00 p.m..

The last day the Election Department may send out a ballot by mail is Friday, January 26, 2018 at 5:00 p.m.

Ballots mailed back to our office must be postmarked by February 5, 2018 in order to have the ballot counted. Voters may request a postmark at the Post Office.

Early voting will begin in our office on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 and will run through Monday, February 5, 2018.  

Our office is located at 935 2nd Street SW in Cedar Rapids.


Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
