Planning for Linn County's fiscal year 2018 budget is underway. The budget will be developed between November 2016 through February 2017 during a series of public meetings between the Linn County Board of Supervisors, other Linn County elected officials and department heads.
Approximately 25 public meetings are scheduled between the first meeting on November 16, 2016, and the public hearing for the proposed budget on March 15, 2017. All meetings are held at the Linn County Public Service Center, 935 2nd St. SW in Cedar Rapids. Meeting dates, times and agendas will be posted on Linn County’s website at www.linncounty.org at least 24 hours in advance of the meetings
Residents have the opportunity to provide comments on the development of Linn County’s FY18 budget during the annual Public Budget Forum on Monday, November 21 at 5 p.m.

Fiscal year 2018 begins July 1, 2017 and ends June 30, 2018.
Linn County has successfully maintained it Aaa bond rating and has received the following awards from the Government Finance Officers Association for consistently exercising sound financial management and reporting:
