General Homemaker Program
The General Homemaker Program can help you when health problems limit you in doing your day-to-day activities.
The general program's direct care workers (DCWs) provide in-home, nonmedical help to elderly and/or disabled people. Services are provided by DCW's who are professionally trained and supervised by either a nurse or a social worker in accordance with national standards and approved by the Iowa Department of Public Health.
Delivery & Fees
Service delivery is prioritized according to need. Fee for service is assessed on a sliding scale according to household income and resources.
